Historic Gillespie County Ranch offers opportunity for the whole family

Erbstuck, German for "heirloom", is the perfect description for this ranch. It is one of the very few historical properties in Gillespie County still owned by the founding family. We continue the tradition of raising fine animals and inviting family, friends and guests to gather together and enjoy the best the Texas Hill Country has to offer!

Erbstuck Ranch

1850s era guest house

Our guest house provides accommodations for our bed and breakfast guests. Begun prior to 1850, the house originally had one room. Through the years it has grown to over 1200 square feet - quite large for a house of that vintage. Most of its original construction features have been retained for all to appreciate and enjoy.

Victorian style ranch house

Our “New” house was constructed in 1900. This beautiful Victorian was the Welge’s pride and joy. Closets, beautiful hardware, and an unusual floor plan make this house unique. Still sporting most of its original construction and interior amenities, it is hard to believe that it was built without electricity!

Our barn surrounds the first structure built by Conrad and Henry Welge. When you step inside, you will find a well preserved log dog trot cabin.
